Bonefishing
This is an exciting sport that can be done by spin casting
or with fly rod. The bonefish is just as described, too bony
to be eaten,
so this is a catch-and-release endeavor done
on the mudflats around the island of Providenciales. |

Sea Fishing
Blue Water and Deep Sea fishing in the TCI is said to be the
best in the Caribbean. Most of the fish are 100 to 200 lb
males;
even a 400 lb fish has been reported! The blue marlin,
white
marlin and even sailfish, yellowfin and blackfin tuna
and barracuda
are all catches to be found here in the
waters around the Turks
and Caicos. |

the Dolphin
JoJo, a very friendly 7-foot male Atlantic Bottlenose dolphin
has made the waters of North Caicos his home. He’s been
known to welcome his human visitors by following boats, playing
in the wake of the bows and propellers. He likes to play with
snorkelers and swimmers in Grace Bay off Providenciales, as
well. |
