Along
with the fine dining, exceptional pampering and first-rate
accommodations, visitors will also enjoy the shopping experience in
Turks and Caicos. Most of the larger hotels have boutiques and
duty-free shops within their grounds, and many, especially along Grace
Bay on Provo, are adjacent to malls that offer a variety of
choices.

In TCI
we have no luxury tax, no sales tax, so the temptation to shop until
you drop is even stronger than usual! Designer names such as Dior,
Rolex, Cartier, Armani, Chanel and the like can be found at a wide
selection of retailers selling jewelery, perfumes and colognes,
watches, cameras, leather goods, art and crafts throughout the
country. |
|
|
Along
with these high-end items, the usual fare of souvenir postcards,
T-shirts, hats and other fun keepsakes can be found on Provo at the
following malls and shopping centres: Caicos Café Plaza / Ocean
Club Plaza, Central Square, Graceway Plaza and Graceway House,
Downtown, Ports of Call / La Petite Place, Neptune Plaza, The Regent
Village and Salt Mills Plaza. |
|
|
| For avid
shoppers, another point of interest is Grand Turk’s new Cruise
Center, home to Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville as well as Conch
World, the only attraction in the world devoted to the beautiful Queen
conch. |

The main
supermarket is the Graceway IGA on the main strip of Leeward Highway.
This is a very impressive, large grocery with well-stocked shelves, a
great range of fresh fruits and vegetables, an onsite bakery and a
large selection of prepared meals ranging from pizza to rotisserie
chicken to a variety of deli choices and salads. All familiar brands
are available to choose from in the wide aisles, but you will observe
that due to import duties, the prices will be noticeably steeper than
what you may be accustomed to at home. |
|
|
The
Graceway Gourmet is conveniently located in the heart of Grace Bay at
the end of Dolphin Avenue. Within a comfortable walk from the various
resorts in the area, you can easily drop in for a shopping or enjoy a
coffee or lunch on their terrace. |
|
|
Smaller
grocery stores include Island Pride Supermarket, Quality Supermarket
and Price Club, all locally owned, all located along Leeward Highway on
Provo, closer to downtown. |
