Grand
Turk, TCI’s capital has experienced
a great increase in activity since Carnival Cruise Lines recently
made a long-term commitment to coming to the island. Carnival
created a port at the southwest side of the island and the cruise
ships have been landing there since February 2006. A
large marketing push by the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board and
Carnival Cruise Lines has increased TCI’s presence in the
minds of potential travellers and investors, and has increased
interest in the beauty and history of Grand Turk. Century
old buildings, old world charm, beautiful ambiance and world
class beaches along with some of the best diving in the world
make Grand Turk a perfect destination to visit and in which to
invest. New roads, a new airport terminal, and the refurbishing
of Governor’s Beach increased Grand Turk’s potential
to attract investors. There are many business opportunities on
Grand Turk. Population is approximately 5,000 residents. Grand
Turk has some of the best diving in the world and you will see
stingrays, thousands of fish and humpback whales in season.
